"Let Us Move Ahead" Song

Song Title : Let Us Move Ahead

Composed by : Candra Darusman (Indonesia)

Lyrics by : Rizali Indrakesuma (Indonesia)

Another ASEAN song. Let's spread the feeling of unity among us. Have a listen to the lyrics of this song, and it'll definitely uplift your spirit to strive upon the vision of ASEAN for an establishment of an ASEAN Community by 2015. Most of you might not have heard of this song yet. So, with this song posted in this blog, it is hope that you will share the song with others and make this song well-known not just in ASEAN but also in other parts of the world.

Lyrics of the song :

Throughout these years

We have resolved working hard together,

For a true community,

The beauty of diversity,

Bridging all the differences,

A sense of unity.

(Chorus)

Let us move ahead,

Hand in hand as one,

Let ourvirtue stand,

And face the challanges of time,

Let us move ahead,

Integrate as one,

To an ASEAN community,

Prosperity, peace and harmony.

The future is ours,

We have the strength,

We shall find the peace,

Within ourselves and with the world,

And as we strive in our resolve,

Sharing this one vision of a true community,

*Repeat Chorus

Throughout these years,

We have resolved working hard together,

For a true community,

The beauty of diversity,

A sense of unity.

*Repeat Chorus 2x.

ASEAN Community by 2015

Eventhough it still seems so far reaching to establish ASEAN Community by 2015 (that's another five years to go), we should try our best to make it a reality. It is of course a complex matter, since there are some obstacles, besides a whole lot of differences in terms of culture and religious matters of its member countries.

It is hope that by watching this video, you will understand and be more conscious of your obligations in building the ASEAN Community.
